Somers is one of the Mornington Peninsula's quietest and most unspoilt coastal villages, tucked away on the Western Port Bay coastline between Balnarring and Flinders. The foreshore reserve is pristine, the streets are unhurried, and the Lord Somers Camp — established in 1929 — continues to host youth programmes that bring families to the area from across Victoria. The roads in and around Somers are narrow, winding, and often canopied by overhanging trees. Sandy Point Road connects the village to Frankston-Flinders Road, and the surface can be rough in patches, particularly after heavy rain when the verges soften and debris washes onto the road.
