1. Agreement to Terms
By engaging Mornington Carpower for automotive services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all services provided at our workshop located at 13 Virginia Street, Mornington VIC 3931.
2. Services Provided
Mornington Carpower provides the following services:
- General automotive servicing and repairs
- Logbook servicing for all makes and models
- Land Rover specialist services
- ARB 4WD accessories supply and installation
- Brake, suspension, and steering repairs
- Engine diagnostics and electrical services
- Other automotive services as agreed
3. Quotations and Pricing
3.1 Estimates: All quotations are estimates only and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Final costs may vary based on actual work required.
3.2 Additional Work: If additional work is identified during service, we will contact you for approval before proceeding, except in emergency situations where delay could cause further damage.
3.3 Payment: Payment is due upon completion of work unless prior credit arrangements have been made. We accept cash, EFTPOS, and major credit cards.
4. Warranties and Guarantees
4.1 Parts: Parts are covered by manufacturer warranties. Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and part type.
4.2 Exclusions: Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or work performed by other service providers.
4.3 Consumer Guarantees: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Vehicle Storage and Collection
5.1 Collection: Vehicles must be collected on the day work is complete.
5.2 Storage Fees: Vehicles not collected within 3 business days may incur storage fees of $25 per day.
5.3 Abandonment: Vehicles not collected within 60 days may be disposed of in accordance with Victorian law, with costs charged to the vehicle owner.
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 Insurance: We maintain appropriate business and public liability insurance.
6.2 Customer Property: While we take all reasonable care, we are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in vehicles.
6.3 Test Driving: We may test drive vehicles as necessary for diagnosis and quality assurance. We maintain appropriate insurance for such purposes.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
- Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
- Disclose known vehicle issues or previous repairs
- Ensure vehicles have sufficient fuel for testing
- Remove valuable items from vehicles
- Collect vehicles promptly when notified
- Pay for services rendered according to agreed terms

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Victorian courts.
